FAQs
1. Faculty who use this online student evaluation of instruction should discuss this with appropriate program coordinators, Department Chairs, or College Deans.

2. Faculty will receive an email with an encrypted URL to direct students to in order for students to take the survey.
When giving the link to students via WebCT or other javascript environments, faculty need to be sure the survey opens in a NEW WINDOW. This is an option button in WebCT when putting a link on your course homepage.

3. The questions are based on a common set of questions approved by and utilized by faculty at Kapi'olani Community College since 1990. If questions are to change, the UHCC DE committee requires that the changes be acceptable at all campuses via Faculty Senates and Administrators. Student submissions are anonymous, linked to an encrypted URL assigned to individually subscribed instructors and courses.

4. Faculty have used these questions at Kapi'olani Community College in online courses since 1998.

5. Two sets of statistics are compiled and delivered to faculty. A. All students. B. Consistent students. Consistent students demonstrate that they read the questions by answering the opposite on questions 1 + 13 and questions 3 and 14. See #7 below to view the questions.

6. Results in PDF format will be available via an emailed encrypted URL for faculty.

10. The survey runs over the last four weeks of the semester. You will be emailed an encrypted URL to have your students go to for each of your classes. If you teach modular classes and want to run the assessment earlier, we can accommodate you on an individual basis. Please email: survey@moosurvey.kcc.hawaii.edu.

11. To use this online assessment for other classes besides ones listed as e-learn/distributed/distance classes, please register them individually.
